Terms & Condition

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in any paid programme, training, course, workshop, or event (“Programme”) organised by LEAP Africa. By registering and making payment, participants agree to abide by these Terms.

2. Programme Registration and Payment

2.1 Registration is only confirmed upon receipt of full payment or an approved payment plan.
2.2. All payments must be made using the channels and timelines specified by LEAP Africa.
2.3. LEAP Africa reserves the right to decline registration for any reason, including capacity limitations or programme eligibility requirements.

3. Participant Responsibilities

Participants agree to:
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • Attend sessions punctually and actively engage in all Programme activities.
  • Maintain respectful behaviour towards facilitators, staff, and other participants.
  • Avoid any actions that disrupt learning or violate the Programme code of conduct.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1. All programme materials—including slides, videos, templates, worksheets, and recordings—are the intellectual property of LEAP Africa or its partners.
4.2. Participants may not copy, distribute, reproduce, or commercially use any programme materials without prior written consent.
4.3. Recording sessions (audio or video) is strictly prohibited unless permission is granted.

5. Refund Policy

Refunds follow LEAP Africa’s official Refund Policy, including:
  • 100% refund for cancellations 14 days before the start date.
  • 50% refund for cancellations 7–13 days before the start date.
  • No refund for requests made less than 7 days before the start date or after the programme begins.

 

Special circumstances may be considered at LEAP Africa’s discretion.

6. Programme Changes and Cancellations

6.1. LEAP Africa may modify schedules, facilitators, delivery format (virtual/in‑person), modules, or venue if necessary to ensure programme quality.
6.2. If LEAP Africa cancels a programme, participants will receive a full refund or may transfer their fees to another programme.
6.3. LEAP Africa is not liable for delays or disruptions caused by events outside its control, including internet failures, strikes, or public emergencies.

7. Participation and Dismissal

LEAP Africa reserves the right to remove any participant from a Programme without refund if they:
  • Violate the code of conduct
  • Engage in harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour
  • Misuse programme platforms or materials
  • Provide false information during registration

8. Data Protection and Privacy

8.1. By enrolling, participants consent to LEAP Africa’s collection and processing of personal data for Programme administration.
8.2. Personal information will not be shared with third parties except as required to deliver the Programme or by law.
8.3. LEAP Africa may use non‑sensitive participant data (e.g., testimonials, photos, success stories) for reporting and promotional purposes, unless the participant opts out in writing.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1. LEAP Africa shall not be liable for any personal loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the Programme.
9.2. Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the required tools (e.g., internet access, devices) for virtual programmes.

10. Certification Requirements

10.1. Certificates of completion may only be issued to participants who meet attendance, assignment, and assessment requirements.
10.2. LEAP Africa reserves the right to withhold certificates if participation conditions are not met.
